This is an old commercial refrigerator from the grocery store. It was making a very nice regular droning sound so i placed my phone inside the fridge to get a clean recording without the noise from the store. Perfect for a spaceship drone or background noise at a factory.
For a podcast project i needed some coffee related sounds so i recorded our techni-vorm moccamaster, filter coffee machine as it brewed a full pot. Our version has a metallic thermos jug rather than the standard glass jug. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution. Must be a recording as the voice sounds more southern (united states) than digitally generated. Voice offers suggestions for the successful purchase of the carwash vend.

Stereo recording of the interior of an ice cream parlor in the historic center of dubrovnik / croatia. It is early afternoon in high summer. The sales crew are a merry lot, bantering loudly with the tourists of different nations that are absolutely cramming the place. Lots of multinational voices can be heard, men, women and children talking loudly and all at once. Under that is the intense hum of a cooling system working itself to death!the ice cream was good too. I can recommend the peanut flavor. Recorded with a zoom h2, mics set to 90° dispersion.

This is a 'helicopter' esque pass by created with my vocals, a tone generator and a guitar tremolo pedal. I think this could be best used as a layer. It really needs some background noise and potentially more engine noises to sound realistic. Use it as you like!.

Braun model 3105 coffee maker. Multiple takes of picking up and replacing the glass carafe on the hotplate. The left channel is a sennheiser mkh-416 and the right channel is an akg c414 b-uls, both into a john hardy m-1 preamp into pro tools. Each mic has a slightly different recording position. The akg has more of a "room" perspective whereas the sennheiser gives a close up, detailed perspective.
